Robin Jordan, CPA
Robin received both her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Business Administration and Postbaccalaureate Certificate in Accounting from the University of Southern Maine. When she started undergrad school, her intent was to go to Veterinary school and have her own practice. It wasn’t until her third year of college that she decided to pursue accounting.
Robin has been working in the accounting field since 2012, when she took a staff accountant position at mid-sized company in Southern Maine. She quickly worked up to be the Assistant Controller there. After passing all the CPA exams, she left the private sector and worked for two different accounting firms, gaining years of valuable experience with auditing and tax. With a young family, Robin was unable to work the long hours and schedules required at the firms and returned to the private sector as an Accounting Manager at another mid-sized company.
Ultimately, Robin’s goal was to be a business owner. After watching her parents successfully own and operate a business while growing up, she knew that was what she wanted for herself and her family. While on maternity leave with her second daughter, Robin began the process of creating her own firm and in early 2020, she officially opened Robin L Jordan CPA.
Robin and her husband live in New Gloucester, Maine with their two daughters. In her spare time, Robin enjoys spending time outdoors with her family.
